Everyone is in different financial situations. I would say the fully built rigs are the significant minority are are people who can afford to do so. I could drop $20k in mods for my truck right now but I can't justify it in my mind yet.

Generally, all Veterans using the VA Home Loan Guaranty benefit must pay a funding fee. This reduces the loan's cost to taxpayers considering that a VA loan requires no down payment and has no monthly mortgage insurance.

Just bought a home in Sugar House and can confirm that real estate prices and the low inventory of homes is a huge problem. All the money coming in from Silicon Valley and NY banks is creating a massive problem. I would try and buy asap if you wanna live in the East side of the valley.

Whether it's debt or not, it still shouldn't be looked upon as good or virtuous behavior.

The market return is 7%. Savings accounts are 1%, and real estate is passive income producing.

If you buy a modification, you indirectly financed the purchase because you could have gotten 7% at the market return with the money. Not only that, but consumer goods usually lose 50%-100% of their value within the first year.

It's fun to modify a car, but if someone makes 70K annually and spends 50K on a car plus modifications, there is a big issue with the person's mindset there.

Ya know how I do it. (A good GF, no kids) I pay myself first when it comes to mort/bills/food/retirement. I have self control most of the time with money because I have too, my place of employment is terrible about raises but I don't work hard at all.

I have to plan/save for any big purchases and I flip anything small engine related when I can. I do use credit and have my limit set at 3k in case a life issue hits it easy to pay off quick. No, it does not effect my Credit Score. Don't let companies feed you a load of crap.

I'd love a brand name 6in lift with sick wheels on my truck but then it will not fit in the garage and I hate to scrap snow off my truck so having it in the garage is more important to me. I have a Headstrong 2.5 in lift currently and I have exactly 1 inch of clearance when I park in garage...haha.

Open a investment account , put away may be 50 -100 dollars a week from your paycheck , to that account you will be surprised how much it added up to by end of year.
