The economy is based on transactions not debt.

I've had my credit card a year now and I've never spent more than 30% of my credit line, and have paid my statement in full every month. It's not hard. Not a penny in interest.

Edit: and I'm about to redeem my cash back and buy more taco stuff lol

I pull in 4k after tax a month have 2 kids and 2 new cars btw, and I also dont understand how people pay for this shit other then getting in debt.

    Absolutely.

Have you heard of a "charge card"? This term is often a synonym for credit card but its not, the difference is revolving credit. A charge card must be paid in full every month and has no revolving credit therefore they often have no limit. The most popular charge card is American Express and Discover. They both offer a line of credit cards with revolving debt but their premium cards such as the Platinum card is a charge card. Must be paid in full every month...Amex was founded in 1850 so...

EDIT: charge cards generally have an annual fee. Amex Green is $95 but there are benefits received from it and its way cheaper than Credit Card interest.

I'm not making the connection. What do sheep and education have to do with each other?

We learn basic economics when we are 10 and mowing peoples lawns in the summer. I mow your lawn, you pay be $10, I buy a candybar at 7-11 for $2. We just completed two transactions with no debt. My lawnmower wheel breaks and cost $10, I borrow $2 from my parents and buy a new wheel, complete your lawn for $10 repay my $2 and buy a candybar for $2. We just completed 5 more transactions. OR, the wheel breaks and I borrow your lawn mower to mow your lawn for $10 and purchase a new wheel and a candy bar. We just made 1 exchange and 2 transactions.

Anyways, can easily google, economics, micro-macro etc. Anyways, not sure how sheep plays into this.

I get it. Been driving my ‘04 since it rolled off the lot and don’t have any supermods. Also been saving cash for a couple years to buy a new one with about a 2/3rds down payment.

If the answer to HOW is credit card debt or insane financing, I’ll drive my old beater any day!

I build on a budget and start with the important stuff. Going off road, you need sliders, then armor. Don’t fall for lifts, wheels an tires. Get the sh%t that protects your sheet metal. Then save up for the next step. Yea its expensive, but you get what you pay for. IMO

Budgeting is key. While I'm lucky on the border with 2 countries to shop for parts in, I have also not had vehicle payments in almost a decade. I may have already done a lot to my Tacoma, but I had also been saving since last summer when I first started casually browsing for new vehicles.

The one thing I hadn't accounted for was @mesojdm!!!! Buying his stuff has put me over what I was expecting and planning, but it's worth every penny!
