How do people afford this stuff??

When I was in Iowa I didn’t check

But in Illinois it’s dirt cheap

My farm here on south west isn’t cheap....

These days whites getting driven out. Sikhs here doing avocado and moving from motel business to farm and Vietnamese doing pistachio

 

Compared to over here it is. A million bucks here gets you a starter 3 bed room house that has termites. On just over a half acre. So yea it’s relatively affordable.

Youre looking at at least $10k per acre. Not many places selling and when they do there is already an Iowa farmer to buy it. Farming is no where near as cheap as people think it is

I sold my last house and down sized for 1.2mil it was a 4 bed room two car garage on 5,400 sqft lot the house it’s self was 2,000sqft

Just saw some land for sale around me $1.6 mil for 250+ acres of just farm land, no house. For Iowa that's a small farm.

A house would be cheap to build though

I’m starting to look in your state too. That’s the dark horse. My wife liked Montana, Wyoming then Idaho. I still have to take her to Iowa.

 

If you're ever out here let me know. I love Iowa but don't brag all the time because more people will ruin it.
