    If you've got a bunch of cash, you really don't need to worry about your credit to be honest! Free stuff from cards is nice though.

    I've always wondered this. Why would anyone pay cash when you can CC everything and pay it off before the end of your statement? All you have to do is figure out the dates. Your balance gets reported as $0 and you get between 1-3% cash back or miles depending on what card you use. Haven't paid for airfare in years...

    Sounds like your doing it right. Might wanna slowly creep your 401K percentage up a few percent though if you can. Once you get settled into your house of course. (I'm also at the lower end of the income totem pole here I've decided)

    I owe about $12K on my truck. I could almost pay it off right now, but my investments pull in more than what my truck loan is costing me.
