im guessing you're hitchless? there should be some frame points to hook into with a hook but that's more dangerous, due to a metal hook that could snap out and fly into the other direction

If you have a hitch, you can get a hitch shackle

You should be a bit more concerned about being pulled from the front. That tow hook is crap

If you have a hitch, you can just run a strap through the pin. You don't need a fancy hitch shackle. It is essentially doing the same thing. All the load unless side loaded is going to be the same.

All 1st gen orners need to remember pulling rear hard from the rear on our frames is not a good idea. Our frames arent very strong back there, hints why manufacturers are making supports to weld in.... just sayin, carry on :D

I don't hangout in those kinda bars. Seriously, I carry a hitch shackle in my Jeep, similar to what Pugga posted with a strap, to pull kids and house fraus outta snowbanks

Can you show me a link or any info to the frame reinforcement?

I remember seeing someone just do this recently and may have posted it in the "what have you done today" thread but I can't find it. All I remember is a bunch of guys telling him to seal up his welds (?) and he explained he lived in Arizona where id doesn't rain or rust.

I'm thinking I would like to do this to my stock Tacoma.

    Thanks... any help is appreciated
