I'm babying it for the break in period, one month in doing well, not even a scratch on it until this weekend. I went back home for easter and today when I was putting the license plates on I noticed a scratch. SOMEONE TOOK A NAIL TO THE TRUCK AND SCRATCHED IT! Seriously, what the hell.

I wash the truck once a week. Usually spend 4 hours once a month with clay bar, Polish and Wax, with spot detailing in between if I have nothing else to do. Interior detailing once a month as well.

I don't offroad and gravel roads are the worse the truck sees. I always like to keep my vehicle in showroom condition. Never know when I will trade in for something else. If I can't see my reflection in the paint, it's not good enough for me. :)

I park away from others in my employee garage or at the store or mall. I find a secluded spot. In the past, had too many issues with people dinging my door with theirs. I address scratches right away and always have a can of color-matched paint on hand.

How I handle my vehicles has evolved with age. The older I got, the more conservative I have become. I tend to now think of them as investments that can depreciate faster based on how well they are taken care of.

I wanted to get to know it first before I did any mods. I bought it about a year ago and drove it on and off road. Just put a lift on a couple of weeks ago - looking for new tires now.

A week after it saw the showroom floor it was in the dirt & climbing hills. Hell, I had to go make sure 4Lo worked and break in the xfer case! I had a whole week off of work so I hit a bunch of trails in my area that I hadn't seen in years. It was a blast.

I don't intentionally go out to beat the crap out of it. It's bone stock, I know its limitations. It's my daily driver, not a trail rig. But you gotta have some fun with it! The way I look at it is... If I F this up or do body damage how much is it going to cost me? That keeps me in check... Hell, its a brand new truck that I wrote a big check for. If I wanted just another beater I could have done it A LOT cheaper.

    Here's the proof... No plates..

This photo was taken about two weeks after I got her. The rugged fails were awful off road, and i was too scared to go too far down the trails because they got fairly tight.
