How do you default the map to the home screen?

Not sensitive at all. Was just asking what screen you think OP should see on startup.

 

No it cannot be changed as many have mentioned it is home screen by default. All you have to do is hit the map button nothing hard about that other than trying to rack your brain about changing it, Just saying. I have it on my Tacko and find it ok.

 

You "open the rational for having a map..." by making a jackass comment?

OP explained this pretty well, either you missed it or you were just looking for an opportunity to shit on someone else.

 

Then just upload an image for your home screen. I used the Star Trek TNG image for mine. There is a thread on how to do this.
