How do you dry your truck?

I start with that, to get the bulk of the water off. It also works great on the wheels, tires and grill, plus the areas that tend to drip (windows and mirrors). I even blow the water out of my bed with it so I don't get drips all over the bumper the first time I drive it.

Our water is really hard here and leaves nasty watermarks.

I finish with a genuine cowhide chamois and replace it when it gets tired. I've tried fake chamois and they didn't work well for me. Darker colors tend to show the scratches more. However, one nice thing about the fake chamois is that you can wash them in your washing machine.

I'm pretty sure a microfiber towel would be more absorbant than a thermometer.

 

55+mph....let'r streak real good and don't worry about it.

 

I've had the same absorber for six years, couldn't be happier!

 

I let the guys at the car wash do it...

 

Dang, I’m rather surprise after 4 pages no one has even mentioned the Mr. Clean autodry. I do realize that in the wrong hands it is a very complex and hard to understand system(much like splitting the atom), but once mastered, it works like a charm IMO.

HOLLY SHIT!!! I vote for none of these. Waffle-weave microfiber for me!

I've done the leaf blower on my beater car, but not Tacoma. Maybe if I had an electric one, or in the future. She's still has the new car smell though.

 

mr clean auto dry, works great, not a spot left behind...

I actually used a leaf blower on my old Carolla.
As long as there was enough wax on it, it worked quick and fine!

 

Absorber for the moment. Just got my waffle weave microfiber drying towel in but I'll probably keep that for my car only. I need to add an electric leaf blower to my mix.

 

On Saturday I washed my truck and dried her with Shamwow. I read this thread, returned the Sham and got an Absorber! I washed her again last night and now I can say WOW!! The Absorber is super!
