There's very little airflow over the hood. That's why a "functional" hood scoop wouldn't even work well if at all.

Leather shammy to remove as much water as possible and then a couple dry micro fibre towels so that there are no streaks.

    Cheers.

Used Zaino on my Atlas (very dark) Grey Metallic Porsche and stuck with it for the Taco. I'll vouch it's the best stuff ever.

That said...I only dry with white 100% cotton towels made in the USA with edges trimmed off and washed with scent free liquid detergent between every use.

I use a jelly blade to get the majority off, then I use a microfiber to dry the rest.

Waterblade and a 215mph leaf blower do the trick.

    X (whatever).

Then a cotton towel. More than once I got my ass chewed for "ruining a perfectly good towel". But it works.

Then I use the blower again to get the little wollies the towel leaves behind off.

Then the clay bar comes out...

aqua blade and a microfiber towel. Since its black if you don't dry it why bother washing it? I also chose air dry because no waterblade option.

I've switched from an absorber to the Adams great white microfiber drying towel. Light mist of their detail spray then dry with the mf towel is the best way to do it. The towels aren't cheap but I buy my detail supplies for my GTO, the truck just gets the benefit of good supplies.

I second that, I have probably bought 3 towels in the past year from Wal-Mart. I've tryed the shamwows and they're nothing but a dish rag in my book, unless you like orange lint peices left all over your rig...

I use the california waterblade followed up by an absorber. I had both since about 2002.

I always make sure I hose off the water blade just in case there might be dirt stuck to it for some reason. Or if I drop it on the ground I will hose it off.
