How do you get out of a hard canopy?

I was wondering if anyone has found a way to get out of their hard canopy if they somehow got locked in one? Can you open the tailgate? Are you able to open the canopy window(s)? Justs curious.

On my shell (ARE CX) the rear window comes down behind the top of the tailgate, so if the window is locked the tailgate can't open. We got windoors on both sides, so we always have that option to get out as well. In a pinch, if I had some basic tools (that usually live in the bed anyway) I could either disassemble the latch mechanism for the rear window and 'unlock' it that way, or could undo the clamps holding the topper to the truck bed and lift it enough to enable escape that way (enough to allow the tailgate to open at least).
Practically, getting locked in has never been a concern.

If you keep a wrench back there, you can under the clamps that hold the top on and push the whole thing off.

At least on my hard shell, the operation rods are easily accessible from the inside, if the handle to stop working I could just grab the rods and pull them clear, I also feel like if I had to I could just push it open from the inside.

An actual trouble I have had is quite the opposite, I have put stuff inside and the cargo had shifted during transportation and then I couldn't open the canopy because it was blocking turning of the latch or pulling in of the locking rods.

I am so far been successful in either jiggling the truck until it moved enough to get it open or jumping in hitting the gas and slamming on the brakes to get everything to shift forward.

But at least in my Ari, I can't see any way to permanently lock myself inside.

At least on mine the key lock prevents the handle from turning but it doesn't stop the rods from being able to be pulled in manually from the inside.

I think that would be fully dependent on how you would be locking the rear window from inside. I'm no expert, but I think I've seen a few threads around about people having to do some sort of modifications to the locking mechanisms just to be able to lock it from the inside, so I'd be curious to ask how would someone get locked in one (without modification)?
