How do you get rid of "trail stripes"?

    Is it bad to clay using the soap suds while washing it as the lubricant, compared to finishing the wash and spraying a lubricant?

    I'd suggest posting that in the "ask a detailer" thread over in the Detailing forum.

    I think you'd do best to fully wash and dry the truck to remove everything that can come off with a normal wash before you then clay the truck. Otherwise at best you're using up your clay quickly removing stuff the wash would have removed and at worst you're dragging that stuff across the finish much more than if you'd washed it off first.

    No this is perfectly fine and what most pros do. Just make sure you have plenty of suds.

    Ya it never stuck once....i just washed an area and fallowed with the clay right after. Wayy better this way
