How do you guys secure your Yeti coolers, in the bed of your Taco's?

Best thing I have ever done I did this year. I froze a 24pk of water bottles and lined the sides and bottom of my cooler with them frozen before packing. They still had ice in them on day 4 and the cooler was still cold. It's the volume of frozen water that will last longer then just cubes.

 

Coleman Extreme works for us. 5 days later and there is still ice in it. We don't have to worry about someone steeling it. No bears around to destroy it. Don't need to climb on it. If you want it to not slide around get the bottom Line-X.

Here is mine, I bought a 15' 3/8 lock cable. I ran it through both front tie downs, both handles on my tool box and then to the lock on the Yeti. I like to have all of my stuff fairly easy to remove, that way when I need the whole bed for hauling it's not a total pain in the ass. My box is held in place by the cargo bar and a bungee around the Yeti. If you have a bed mat the rubber feet won't hardly allow the Yeti to move at all. I don't know... I guess it would keep the honest people from stealing it. Lol

This is what I am going to get. I have just got a decal designed from a guy on here to go on the lid. Sucks they don't have custom colors like the Grizzly coolers but you can get a 75 quart cooler for the same price as a yeti 45 and they have thicker foam on the bottom than yetis. I also am sold on the hard handles and the rope ones. I like the hard ones better and they have 2 drain holes.

Does the Yeti 20 fit on the back seat floor in a quad cab?

 

Think so. My 35 fits on the back seat in my AC cab perfectly

 

It will depending on how tall the person in the front seat is and how far forward they can stand to push their seat forward.. I have an engel 30q that will fir perfectly on top of an extended cab fold down seat and with he seat a few clicks forward it will fit in the floor board. I just seatbelt it into the seat though

Why the hell are these Yeti coolers are so expensive?

 

Just out of curiosity I wanted to see if my 125 would fit in my truck.

I'm in the process of switching from an FJ Cruiser and AT Chaser trailer to a Tacoma quad cab long bed with a 4 Wheel Camper on it. I have an Engle 45 in my FJ with a dual battery but since the camper has a fridge I'm thinking about selling the Engle when I sell my trailer and just use a small cooler in the cab for road drinks. If I keep the Engle I will have to run unswitched power somewhere in the cab.

 

I got the small engel to have for road drinks and weekend trips. I have a 75q Yeti and its been plenty of cooler space for me for week long trips or whatever. Its just too damn heavy to move with two people most of the time let alone by myself so when it goes in the truck it gets strapped down and locked to the bed. I can only imagine the 125. My buddy that came up from Alabama last week has a 105 yeti and screw moving it as well. I believe 75 is perfect for most size wise... Ive had plenty of fish and a few 12 packs and other random stuff inside mine at once

 

i can handle the 125 empty as long as i don't have to lift it over my head. filled with ice and drinks and snacks, that sum bitch aint going anywhere. i dare someone attempt to steal it with that much weight lol

 

Exactly, empty its no issue.. but I know mine I put 4 12 packs on average plus a case of water then 40# of ice.. Yea, no. Its not being moved alone. Done it too man times. The smaller in cab cooler will suffice for me to move around...Ill just use the 75 to hold everything and keep it colder longer and transfer to the smaller cooler if its needing to move a great distance from the truck

 

Pretty impressive. And I've had my Yeti for 3 years now. Like the BRUTE features...
