Oh yeah. They made their nest in the middle of the pool cover which must have been folded in half 10 times over. Big black ants about 1" and some with wings. Termites here are subterranean, small and white.

    Yep.
 I have tried bleeding from the valves at the ends of each baseboard... I'd like to use the bleed valves at base of the return lines right next to the boiler to flush the lines, but again, I'll have to do some research first

Sounds about right  I just put 100gal in last month, price was @ $3.50 :(

I'll def look into the auto bleeders!

    Thanks Guys!

I have a Honeywell air seperator specifically designed for radiant heating systems capable of removing the micro bubbles that can be produced in the heating of the water and cavitation in the pump .

1)SHUT OFF THE BOILER. 2)Then you should have a ball valve for each zone of your system. Turn them all off. 3) Attach a hose to the bleeder valve (looks like a standard hose bib) for 1 zone. I usually run the hose out to the driveway. 4) Make sure the fresh water into the boiler is on and allowed to flow into your system. Then open the bleeder valve and allow it to run until no more air is coming out. 5) Close the bleeder valve and repeat all of the steps for each zone. 6) After each zone is completed you can open each ball valve and restart the boiler.

If your house has 3 heating zones but 4 circulator pumps, you may have an indirect hot water heater. Usually there is no need to bleed this zone.

I have an enhanced air separator too .. Thing is worth its weight in gold.

For those of you that have auto bleed valves at the end of each baseboard, make sure they are snug and the little knobs on the top are snug at the beginning of each season. One of my parents was leaking, and caused the entire ceiling below it to become mush.

We don't have a central air system, actually most people in Hawaii don't either. I think i will most likely get one of those modern wood burning stove(a small one) the kine that can rotate to face any directing, costs a arm and a leg but i think its worth it, or a propane heater. Still doing research!

Why do you need a stove-go-round? They radiate heat in all directions.
We got this and the heating capasity of 1000 is way off, it can heat 1650 so much we hve to heat the garage. Also works good for toasting marshmellows & hot dogs. http://www.jotul.com/en-US/wwwjotulus/Main-menu/Products/Wood/Wood-stoves/Jotul-F-100-Nordic-QT/

The Jøtul F 370 only has one opening the sides are glass for wider viewing angle. But it doesn't say any thing about rotating and is the only one like it in thier line.
We got the Jøtul F 100 Nordic QT because it would easily fit inside the firebox of our fireplace.

Yeah me either:D but the picture showed one that could turn 360, thought that was pretty cool. How much did you spend on yours, 3-5 thousand?

$1600 + $600 to install. The install was one of three things I didn't do to our home. The other two were reshingle the roof (just because of time & insurance wanted to drop us because of shake roof). The other was install Corian counter tops. I've done complete remodels of three personal homes including moving walls, plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, carpentry, drywall, painting, insulation, flooring, masonry, replace windows and doors, fencing, landscaping and irrigation.

I heat with wood here, it gets down to -40 in the winter. I am not convinced that a wood stove is right for you. I am worried about downdraft since it would still be fairly warm outside (Canadian standards not Hawaiin). Not exactly sure though maybe someone else could chime in on this.
