i've been thinking about how people make money with their truck. i remember i had a Jeep cherokee Xj in high school. i posted ads up on craigslist did yard work and helped people move furniture. i made a decent profit and it was fun. i would like to start doing that again as a hobby on the weekends or on my day off for extra cash i was wondering how other people make money using their Tacomas. i feel like my truck is too nice to use as a work truck. but it also has potential to get me some extra cash for some camping supplies!:D

If you're willing to rent it out to people, there's an app called Turo. I've seen 1st gens rent for $30-$60 dollars a day.

Personally I haven't used my Tacoma to make money by using it as a service, but I do buy and sell Tacoma parts from the junkyard.

It usually involves a pair of speedos and cowboy boots. I park up near the nail salons and do a little jiggle. The housewives throw some dollar bills, and I high tail it out of there before the cops show up.

I haven't done this personally, but a coworker i used to know would post ads on Craigslist just for a truck to help people move, and would also watch for ads of people asking for help moving stuff. There would be a surprising number of people offering $50-$100 just for you to come with a pickup and move something like a couch or bed frame from one place to another

I've seen things like really nice trailers given away for a days worth of moving out wood out of people's yards. It just sucks cause our beds are so small they're almost worthless. I envy full sized trucks and their bed for actual work.

Truth. I love the size of our trucks, but they can't haul dick. Still though, if it's just couches/bed frames/mattresses that people wanted moved it's doable.

Haha if work was the primary goal I would have gotten a Cummins... But I LOVE the size of a first gen taco. Suits me perfectly for my needs

I lease my Truck to the company I work for at this time $1.00 per mile plus all expenses !!

Most weeks are around 300 miles or so .

Then I get a 1099 at the end of the year I guess the OP is looking for cash in his pocket!!

I saw a bumper sticker on a pickup:

"Yes this is my truck, and no I will not help you move."

My truck helps me to get to a place that brings me money. That is the only possible way to make money by owning a truck. I don’t see any other possible ways. Still, I’m glad that I became a sole trader, and my truck helps me get to my clients. I know it is just a start-up for my business, but I’m looking forward to it. Besides, I try to follow some tips and recommendations I found on this blog-post — https://investedwallet.com/rich-vs-wealthy/. Reading this blog post pushed me forward to pursue my goals and get financial independence. That’s why I started my own business and stopped working for someone else.
