I am trying to install an alarm in my 2014 Tacoma. The alarm is from Toyota.

There is one step where you must remove a wire from a connector and replace it with a wire from the alarm.

I have a very small jewelers screwdriver, but I have tried for two hours and still cant get the old wire out.

Can anybody tell me the trick?

    Thanks!
    Ron

there is a long rectangular part on the connector. pop it up carefully. it only pops up a couple mils. then look for a small tang holding the connector pin in. push it down and jiggle the wire until it pulls out. do not force the wire. to push the tang down, i usually use a unfolded paperclip or grind down a unfolded small cotter pin.

    hope this helps.
