Hey guys, a lady i work with has a 2013 Camry SE currently leased thru SETF ( Southeast Toyota Finance ) and she asked me how to go about selling it. The buyer has cash. I have no idea, anyone ever done this? Her payoff is the amount she is selling it for, just to get out of it. Thanks !!

As long as there's no early termination fee, it's just like paying off a vehicle with the lien. For the particulars, though, you'll have to talk to the bank. Get money, get info to payoff vehicle from bank, send money to bank, lien/title released.

Do they have an online account with SETF? If so, log on there and it should give you all of the details you need.

um... paying off a lease will not make you own the car... something isn't right with this story. After the lease is paid then they offer you a buy price.

so she has made all lease payments but hasn't turned the car in yet? that's the only way you get a buy price... and usually it's on the day you turn the vehicle in but yes not always.

I've leased through Toyota before. Logging in to the TFS website, with a lease, it lists a payoff quote even if you have not completed the lease term. It's basically the same as a purchase that's financed.
