Easiest answer by far. For the stuff that I put very low miles on I typically do this around a holiday or something where I have a 3 day weekend, labor day, memorial day, that type of stuff.

CarFax reminders...I have 2 vehicles in my Garage.

Save all my invoices/receipts as well.

I schedule Oil Changes every 5K miles but since I roughly drive 3K+ every 6 months, I'm changing oil every 3500 miles on my Sport. lol

    Current Miles: 35K

Trip A and Trip B; Also take a picture of the odometer and whatever part or item I'm changing at the time for reference.

I usually change oil every 3000-3500 miles, but have done 5000 a couple of times and 7500 once. If you change it before 5k you don't have to deal with with maintenance reminder going off in the middle of your trip.

Every 10k. As in 20k, 30k, 40k etc. Bear in mind our k is in kilometers. Fresh Mobil1, Toyota filter and full lubrication. So far so good.
    Cheers.

Glad to see I am not the only one who has a spreadsheet for everything. Is it blasphemy to admit that I like google sheets for some things? I have it on my android phone and it is easy enough to update now that I don't regularly have the laptop in the garage

Nice! Pros and Cons for sure - I could find some real enjoyment in a excel thread. My job is all google but they need me in power bi for a few things but (more buts) they won't upgrade excel past the excel 2016 version so I use it all, google, google looker, powerbi, excel, MS access .. I make the sacrifices I need to. Just kidding, happy to have a job I enjoy and a truck to tinker on.

So just to be clear, for everyone writing it down in their little book or using the odometer, does that mean you're driving around with the maintenance light on? Because that would drive me crazy

are you out of your mind? just kidding. nope I try to remember to reset mine every oil change. I change every 3k so sometimes I forget and then my wife is driving it and calls and tells me lights/warnings come on and I have a panic attack. Something I am working though. She's a keeper tho always calls and asks if she needs to pull over. Might be better if she just pulled over but better than nothing

    Ok imagine this scenario..

You carry two watches at all times.
One of them tells perfect time and you use it for everything.
The other one you purposely set incorrectly, it has an alarm that goes off randomly and scares the crap out of you. It does nothing but confuse you and doesn't sync up with your day-to-day routine at all

This whole time you could just be using one watch that tells time correctly and the alarm goes off correctly

Every 10k I change it on the 10 k. Not really over thinking this one.

That maintenance reminder on the 3rd gens is more of an inconvenience than a convenience. I don't need the truck to tell me every 5k.

Every 10,000 mi? Maybe I should change from every 3,000 I run Costco brand synthetic. What oil do you run, if you don't mind me asking such personal questions?

Trip A gets reset at every fuel up and Trip B gets reset at every oil change. I track mileage with A and when B is between 3000 and 3500 miles I change the oil.

I mean, there is a page on the driver information screen between the gauges where you can literally reset that.
