How do you unplug factory hitch plug from the 7 way connector?

    I like to add a 4 way flat connector to my OEM 7 way connector using the T-connector as described in the video described at the link below. I just can't figure out how to unplug the factory wiring from the back of the 7 way connector in order to add the T-connector... I already have a 7way to 4way plug adaptor, but I prefer to add a permanent plug-n-play 4way solution. Has anyone done this, and can advise me on how to do this? Pictures or vides will be great.

    Should just be a plastic tab or 2 holding the wiring connector to the trailer socket. Just pinch the tabs town and pull.

    I can’t find any tabs on mine. The one thing on top part of the plug was what I first thought was a tab but it’s not

    My guess is the connection you are looking for would be under the clamshell / heatshrink at the back of the plug by the wiring loom. Or the 4 tabs closer to the mounting plate.
