Hey, y'all. I'm shopping for a used camper shell for my 2005 DCLB. I found a nice Leer topper that is currently on a 2006 long bed access cab. I know that the shell will likely fit but that the profile may be a little different where the shell meets the back of the truck cab. Does anyone have a photo of what that might look like? Or any experience? Thanks. I've asked the seller for the Leer model number so I can talk to Leer about it but I'd love to see a photo if anyone has one.

As far as I'm aware, the profile of the access and double cab are the same. It's the regular cab that has a different profile vs. the access and double cab. The regular cab is more flat backed and straight up and down.

A regular cab shell will fit on a double/access but will leave an odd gap at the top. A double/access cab cap often will not fit on the regular cab at all and if it does it will usually rub and bump the third brake light.

This is my understanding of how this all works.

P.s. That means the cap you are looking at should fit fine, as far as I know.

Thank you! That is super helpful. That's what I suspected but I needed to hear it!
