How does https://www.buyatoyota.com/pacificnorthwest/inventory/ really work?

https://www.buyatoyota.com/pacificnorthwest/inventory/ tells me about specific Tacomas that are available in my Pacific Northwest region, but it doesn't tell me which specific dealers have them. So I can't visit those dealers to see the trucks and make a purchase !!

So what on earth is Toyota's "seach inventory" website really good for since it doesn't help buyers locate the specific dealer(s) that have the Tacomas they are interested in ??

I went to my local dealer with a print out of 3 Tacomas that I found on the Toyota site. I told them that if they could get any one of those 3 for a certain price then they had a deal. They got one of them through a trade or whatever. I looked it over, test drove it and bought it. It did have about 200 miles on the odometer since it was driven from the original dealer to my local dealer.

I was able to decide what model/options/features/color that I wanted by doing research and looking at the trucks that were on the local dealer's lot.

I'm pretty sure that dealer trades within a region are common. If you can't find what you want in "your" region then it doesn't hurt to look in another region that you are willing to travel to.
