Anything over 3" up front on a 4x4 and you're putting in a drop bracket

Are all differential drops made equally or is that a no?

Yes sir, and just my personal opinion....diff drops aren't worth it. Either don't go above 2.5" or do a boot slide mod. The mod won't fix your angles but it'll help your boots last longer

I’ve read umpteen thousand cv angle posts but zero with any scientific evidence or reasoning about the max angle before issues arise. What you need to check is:

    - nothing is binding in your suspension at full droop
    - your bump stop is limiting your up travel instead of your shock
    - you have enough down travel such that it’s not affecting your ride quality too much
    - your alignment is within spec

At 3” lift you will have zero or near zero down travel with standard travel shocks. Shoot for 2”.

Check out these videos for more info.

In my opinion. If you want 3" then a 2" lift and a 1" body lift is where its at. You get good suspension travel, less issues with your CV boots, looks good. But I would avoid the Toytec body lift and find one that has a longer steering stem coupling. Downsides are more labor time, the rear bumper doesn't move, and a very slight but hardly noticeable opening in the front bumper.
