My Pit mix and Australian Shepherd use the running boards to get it. The first time they did it I couldn't stop laughing. They use them more than I do. They wont even try to jump into the bed, I have to lift them up.

Man you think you have it bad...I have a 120 pound Great Dane that I cart around. I also have a lift too so now its harder for him to get in. He usually hops up and I lift his rear legs into the cab because he's too long to get in by himself.

My dog is happy to get out of the truck, but the lazy bastard refuses to jump in. I have to lift the front legs up first then we do the back. He gives a little jump when we do the back.

Got a 95 pound Yellow Lab and he can jump right up in the back of my 2010 crewcab(after I trained him). He even made it when he was a 105 pound fatty. I am a little concerned whats gonna happen when I lift my truck though. I am not looking forward to having to lift 95 lbs of muddy lake dog in the backseat :)

I just opened the opposite door and held a treat and told him to stay. Once he got so ancy and impatient I released him from the stay and he shot right up there. Now he just jumps right in.......Sorry for the Nissan quote but dogs love trucks......

my 15 lb cocker jumps in the car just fine! she's also a jumper because when i take her in to get groomed, she jumps over the wooden door. when i first got her when she was a pup, i put her in the bed of the truck and while i was setting up the tents, i see this her run towards me! my ex-roommate/friend has a 45 lb boxer-rot mixed and she jumps into my truck just fine, also!

    Wow $70?

I'd just get some plywood... cut to fit... and if you want some extra traction throw some old cheap as carpet on it or something, paint it up.. done for less than $20...

I have a 120lb. Shepherd that's 10 years old and he can jump out of the bed ok but not up in. I got the steps (in the link above and they ain't cheap) but I figured he's just going to get worse though so I bought them. I could only find them online.

It took a bit to get him used to using them but he's pretty good at it now, both in and out.

My other dog is only 65 lbs and 4 years old and she could jump onto the roof of the shell, almost, I think.
