Unfortunately I scratched mine pretty bad and I am probably gonna order a replacement from Toyota  I just am not sure how to get it off....it seems like it would pop off but I want to be careful.

Any of you guys ever take that piece off (it's the silver piece to the immediate right of the radio with the vent).

It doesn't come off by itself. That is part of the whole silver pod in the center of the dash.

You would need to remove the a/c-heater controls and the radio. You would then need to remove the cluster trim. Once all that is removed, the piece you are wanting to replace will just snap out.
