Hi, first post to TW, been a member over at ExpeditionPortal for a couple years though till I replaced my previous vehicle to a Tacoma dcsb 4x4 trd sport.

My brothers family and mine travel outdoors at least once a month around CA, NV and hopefully CO trails. Although my truck is also my work truck.

Looking at a CBI rear bumper with swingable tire carrier, can I easily remove that swing gate while not traveling? I access my tools in the rear and would rather not have to bother with a swinging gate in the process.

That being said, while traveling... how do you secure the gate so nobody can easily remove your tire and fuel cans?

    Thanks gents.
