I went from Santee, CA to Madera, CA (395-miles) on a single tank. The last 8 miles with the low fuel light on. My route avoids LA so it's longer but faster with less traffic.

Man some of you drive fast no wonder the mpg reports are so low. Slow it down enjoy the reduced operating costs most countries have a 62mph speed limit. Who knows might save your life one day and if enough do it lower insurance premiums.

    1. Around 315 miles or so.
    2. Never really tried pushing it, except this weekend. I notice the light comes on before the needle is even close to the "E". Probably drove an additional 25miles/city before I refueled. I'm always cautious to push the limit up here. Anchorage (largest city) to Fairbanks (2nd largest) is about 365 miles. I've thought about trying to do it the whole way with out refueling in Nenana (60 miles or so before Fairbanks), but the problem is those last 60 miles are ALL mountain climbing. I doubt I'd make it. You don't get the best gas mileage in AK due to all the mountains you have drive up and what not.

Would not advise running tank so low a practice. The fuel pump in the tank needs fuel to maintain cooling of fuel pump.:deadhorse:

Wouldn't the poor gas mileage be due to the 6" lift with 305's and not necessarily something wrong with the truck. I know you said its dropping but I would contribute it to lift and tires. I'm curios to see what the dealership does to make this mileage better. Post back I will follow. I have a 12 and get 250-300 and I just installed a lift so those #'s are pre-lift.

I went 415 just the other week mostly highway. I was really babying the truck trying to get the highest MPG possible. I was stairing at the ultragauge the whole time :D The light came on at about 390. Ultragauge was showing 21.3mpg adverage. The truck took 19.5gal to refill. I probably could've gone another 15-20 miles but didn't want to push it. But still it was a record for me

But the usual way I drive with mostly stop-n-go I get around 360-380. All depends on how hard you push the skinny pedal

Your fuelly says you average 17.2, how'd you jump so high on this tank? All highway?
