I have found the govenor in every vehicle Ive owned so give me a couple months and I ll get back to you. Right now 2001 pathfinder gets to 110 had a 95 S-10 V6 went to 100 and an old bronco 2 that pos only got to 85 but in a bronco 2 it feels like 1000mph very scarey.

Only have 1000 miles on it, but did push 95 once. Didn't feel to bad. Fastest i've been in a car was 160 in 2006 corvette. On a bike,RC51, was 170. Both speedo indicated.

Well being that I only need 1/4 mile of asphalt to reach 104, I have had the X much faster. A stock XR has a speed limiter of 124-ish. With the APR X-1 I have raised my rev speed limiter to 150mph. Fastest I've gone in it is about 138mph. I got that number based on tire size and rpms in 6th gear, as the speedo pegs itself just after 120.

But here is an old picture back before I raised my govenor.

I hate reading threads like this. I'm no saint- but 5-8 mph over on highways and major roads is normal flow of traffic in alot of places. And the rest of my speeding comes on a closed track (cause it's fun to go 100 thru corners and 135 in straights).

It encourages irresponsible douchebaggery. Some people take their needs for speed to the track- but many don't- and instead put people at risk on public roads.

"Blowing your carbon out" at 110+ (which is anywhere from 35-55 mph OVER the speed limit) just isn't safe or smart. Whoever said that the manufactured cars are tested to be within parameters at top speed trusts Toyota and their driving skills way too much. So whatever your justification for triple digit speeds is....You are a dumbass and I hope no one dies as a result of your decisions.

    /end rant

Sounds like buttpuckering more than fun. But I guess he had to do 115 down one to get up the next one. I have driven trucks up and down that turn pike more than I care to count but never got over 90. But my peterbilt wasnt governed so it was nothing to do triple digits out west all the time.

My Taco has been up to 110 but thats usually between Dallas and Okie city. And then on the other side of Okie city on my way to Arkansas to see my wifes family. I usually try to keep it under 85 when Im not on the Interstates.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
8 years ago I went to Vegas. The trip there from SF is flat and boring. In the middle of nowhere I got up to about 110MPH because for one, I was younger and dumber and secondly there was this smart-ass kid in a fart can honda trying to beat me.He looked surprised that I was keeping right up with him.

I have the small taco, so it felt like the thing was about to lift off the ground. So it was pretty scary. I don't think I'd do it now since she's got a lot of miles on er' now and might not take too kindly to that kind of driving.
