I'm going up to northern Utah tomorrow. Depending on weather I might have to throw it into 4h. What speed should I not go over? I know what the manual and visor say, but I wanted to hear from TW experiences.

I have gone 70-75 if 4 high just do not take it out or put it in 4 high while driving that fast slow down to 50 or so. I do not run it on dry roads.

I've run between 70 and 75 before as well. Also note that 4 wheel drive will not disengage or engage if you are over 60mph.

If you can drive faster that 75 in 4 wheel drive you prob don't need it in the first place IMO.

    Have fun.

Looking at the conditions I dont think you'll be hitting the governer at 109 mph.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
General rule of thumb: As fast as conditions warrant.

You will be fine driving in 4H at normal 2H speeds.

Thanks guys. I'm not trying to go balls out. I was just making sure I could run it at highway speeds. I think the manual says 55mph???? I can't really remember. Of course I'm gonna slow down quite a bit if I need you use 4h.

When did the get rid of the 4H governor? My 07 wouldn't go over I think 45mph in 4H. Haven't tried in the 09, just assumed it was the same.

It looks like Snowbird area? I missed ski and had my had injuries couple years ago. Minor surgery to repair torn meniscus last year. Doctor advice me to wait at least 4 to 5 years. Dammit! Oh well, have fun! My favorite area is Park City and Deer Valley.

^^^A little more north. POWMOW. I'm going up for 5 days. I'm gonna hit Powmow and Snowbasin. I don't drive an Escalade or Benz SUV so I don't dare go near Park City. LOL.

Oh com'on. You will be fine in Park City. Well I cannot force you anyway. Who cares what they drive, hell with them! LOL! Snowbasin is really good ski area too. I drove by Snowbasin last week to Wolf Creek lodge near Wolf Mountain for work christmas party.

Wolf is pretty decent. I have no problem paying $12 to ride after work.

My 06 ran up to 70-75 mph in 4hi with no problems. I only ran this fast once the snow turned into rain and when the road conditions let me do so.

Maybe I'm brain farting. I know it had a 4h governor below 70mph though. I used to hit the 4h governor all the time on the ft riley tank trails.

I dont have any dirt roads straight and open enough to test it here or I'd check real quick.

Yea I'm not so sure about that. I've been in an 06 and an 07 both going over 75 in 4 wheel drive. They were off road packages if it makes a diff.
