Sorry no action shots. I think she will live to fight another day.CD01B522-ED52-4CBA-9920-3E96CB55627E.jpg

14mm gear wrench broke before I could get to the PS tensioner. Just one of those days.

Took it for a slow crawl around the block. No squeal at full lock and no squeal from belts at this point.

Let me give you my whole Toyota sob story because it begins before the previously mentioned 4runners.

First car ever was an '82 yota pickup. Loved it to death. High school kid in CO with a truck=heaven. Gave it to my bro and had a stint with a Rodeo and a Civic.

Got my first teaching gig and took a loan from the rents and got a sweet '99 Taco xtra cab in November. Moved to the mountains for my job and in December was coming down from a night skin at the local resort going probably 15-20mph in 4wd. Hit a patch of black ice and rolled the truck. Obviously totaled. Luckily me and my buddies walked away without a scratch.

Had to borrow more money and bought a '98 4runner. Was driving to work on I-70 and was going at least 25-30mph under the limit in 4wd. Hit a patch of black ice and slammed into the concrete median. Luckily again no scratches and didn't go into oncoming traffic. (That same week I saw 6 more accidents in the same spot. Road doesn't drain properly in a turn and is just waiting to kill someone). Car is totaled which leads me to the aforementioned scenarios.

So if you are counting I have owned 7 Toyotas, 5 of the 3.4 4runner/Tacoma variety. 4 of them totaled or rendered useless. 2 by me, 2 by a holes.

That is my never ending Toyota wail

Hell in my world that’s expert level quick.

I can turn a 10 minute job into 5 hours and 12 trips to the parts store.

    Madjik,

You and me are one in the same. If a regular joe says it takes them an hour I double it, if a pro says it I multiply by 4. Those are minimum times and does not include the many trips across town. Today it was 3 trips.

If it makes you feel better, @BartMaster1234 left several paper towels in his intake runners after installing his supercharger and started the engine with them in there, and they got sucked in...Could be worse lol

I’m just trying to tell you the shirt stuck in the belts is no big deal. We all been thru something like this. When you’re tired and frustrated that when you make mistakes. I’m glad everything is fine and you didn’t have to burn your truck because of a T-shirt
