i am an idiot and i put my tailgate down on top of my camper hitch and then put something on top of the tailgate. The plastic tailgate handle snapped and broke. I can still grab enough of it to open the tailgate but wondering if its an easy fix with a new part and where can i buy that part? thanks

Good grief. It's not hard. Just do a search as there's lots of videos on the interweb.

See Willy's picture above. Swing the plastic clip 90 deg to unlock, then pull the metal rod out of the plate. You will also have to transfer the camera and lock cylinder over to the new handle.

OEM handle is $150-200 at the dealer. Aftermarket is under $30 but doesn't have the embossed Toyota wording on the flap: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=13454469&cc=3354143&pt=1426&jsn=530
