How hard to part out a 2000 Tacoma and get my money back?

If I were to pick up a parts tacoma 2000 4x4 extended cab, how hard do you think it would be for me to part it out and make back my money?

 

Depending on condition and how much you pay for it. Parts sell pretty easy. Frame good? Manual or auto? v6?

Frame should be fine. I'm going to go look at it today. I have a 99 that could use some parts and this one is missing some vital parts. It would cost about 1000

 

Frame and drivetrain you could recoup that easy.

Went and looked at it today... Yeah that was way too tore up to buy. They said it was missing a few things. Apparently that means the entire front clip and bent frame rails... Yeah nope.

 

What's a good frame go for usually?

4x4 components still there?

 

Yeah they seemed to be... I just don't know how much I trust the seller as to how well they work.

Obviously a part out can be profitable. Most folks never try it because of some combination of the above factors.
