Great idea! This is what I'm going to do to my truck. Thats a perfect way of mounting it without it being exposed.

I like the lock down of the Serpa and it comes in really handy in many scenarios. I particularly like it on the dirt bike or atv when I am running around the ranch.

Thanks for your service. My son is an Air Force Major.

Glock 43 is my EDC. Do you have part numbers on the Sherpa parts you ordered? I like your setup.

I just picked everything up on eBay. I did a search for "glock 43 Blackhawk serpa" and "serpa quick disconnect kit". I got the holster for $35 and quick disconnect kit for $30

Thanks brother! I'm currently a CPT with 9yrs in so far....I'm at that point in my career trying to decide whether to get out or stay in for the long hall. Kinda feel like tom hanks in cast away at the end of the movie when he's at the crossroad lol. The military lifestyle has taken a big toll on the family and the thought of getting out and having some stability for once gets me excited. I guess we'll have to wait and see if I make Major this year. The promotion rates this past year are atrocious at 62%. The Army isn't doing a real good job retaining its Officers these days. Should have gone Air Force lol

Sweet man! Post some pics when you install it. I am still thinking on mounting it on the inside part of the center console. The only issue is that the plastic sidewall is just a single layer panel and anything screwed into it will obviously just pop out the other side. I wanna take a trip to Home Depot to see if I can find a black flat backed bolt I can use so it doesn't look like crap. We'll see what I could find :)

Has anyone ever modes their center console lid so it opens out to the side like the second Gen's? I really hate the way it opens straight up....it makes it extremely awkward to pull anything out of it that way

I'll have to see what I can do on it I even ordered a dual magazine set up to hold my two spares they should be delivered tomorrow hopefully I wonder if a glue of some sort would be enough to mount that but has to look clean and I don't want it in the open don't want someone breaking a window to steal it as they walk by

Might have to just go with some black low profile screw head on the outside of the console with a nut on the inside it won't be super noticeable but will be kinda annoying or mount on front or back wall of the inside of console which will make it awkward to getting it out

OP, any particular reason why you chose to put it in a 12o'clock position and not 9o'clock? I'd think going 9 would be pretty similar as withdrawing out of your IWB holster? I see myself twisting my hand/wrist to withdraw using your set up. Great mod though!

9 o'clock wasn't possible due to the inside wall being just a single panel. Anything you screw into that side is simply going to show through. I plan on trying to find some low profile bolts that won't look like crap if I decide to mount it at the 9'oclock

Hell freaken yeah man! How secure is it to the console? Do you think it will hold up well? I found some low profile bolts at Home Depot that would work with mounting it on that side but if loctite will work...then I will definitely go that route!

From what Iv been told this stuff is insane that once it sets it isn't coming off I used some sand paper to rough up both mounting areas for a good bond
