Does it bug you having it there? It seems like your leg would be constantly rubbing against it.

It really depends on how I'm sitting but no. When my leg sits in it , it doesn't bother me. My buddy drove my truck and said he thought it was going to but he didn't have an issue either.

I just use my IWB holster and tuck it in the passenger seat's rear pouch "IWB Style" . I can easily draw it from the drivers seat. Cheap and not over thought.

I was thinking about mounting one of these on the passenger side so I could something like this. I'd not want it on the drivers side, and it seems easily reachable

Nice mount, not an ideal location imo. Tough and too slow to draw if you have a perp on your driver side window. Much rather prefer to see it mounted below and down by my right leg or underneath the steering wheel.

But I also like the idea of locking it up in a secure center console as well.

There's an airbag where you prefer, and odds of that thing going off and launching your defense weapon into your junk are way higher than a perp at your drivers door...

Depends on the vehicle I suppose. Many TJ owners mount under steering wheel. What about next to your right leg in a Tacoma? Would airbag still hit it?

I might end up trying to get a custom lock box built to fit/take up only half of my center console... maybe this could turn into a group buy

Well my goodness. I'm an old Army and https://www.uspsa.org/ fart. I did not read all the threads. Lot of points here I like to address. One is I like the fact your into pistols and AR's. OK if you put your pistol in the cargo box between the seats time your self how long it takes to get it out, You have less than 2 seconds. If you don't want carry on your person just put were the cell phone goes. For you lefties put it drink wells in door.

For the Capt in the US Army. Thank you for your service. You can finish your stint on your head. It's hard I know. Missed my little girls birthdays, Thanksgivings, Xmas. If can do it all over again wont change a thing but maybe transition to Coast Guard.
