How did the stud not brake? I had 2 lugs last week that were stripped, but I could get a grip to tighten. Even with a 10' cheater bar I could not get the lug the break, like crack off. Ended up having to drill them out

I was not torquing it hard enough to break it thankfully. I was just turning it the wrong way

Same with me, they rounded off so I tried to break them off the other way. I got 4 off, then ended up paying the wheel a little around the loose studs then having to use a thin cut off wheel and cut the studs on the backside of the wheel. I tried drilling them out for a whole day with no success.i guess it also depends on the wheel also.
