    No mods whatsoever!
I had a Banks exhaust on mine for years, now I have the TRD. Sound about the same. The Banks may be a little more throaty. The only benefit was the lifetime warranty, although you still pay shipping for replacement parts which isn't cheap. I'm happier with the TRD.

Alright then, thanks again for that. Probably swoop in on that later tonight. 388 is killer compared to the 600 I almost dropped on MBRP.

Perhaps not. I have doubts about their testing method (3rd gear?), but there has to be something to it.

It is I think they started changing the rear hangers just slightly on the 13+. I remember a thread in it somewhere about guys having to do simething to the rear hangers to fit the 12 TRD exhaust on the 13

For what its worth, I just installed the Gibson Sweptside last week on my truck (got it half price, so didn't shop around really). Sounds solid to me.

It's listed as fitting the 2nd gen and the pics from the directions were from '05, but when i first installed on my '13 the tail pipe sat about 1/8 in from the spare and about the same distance from the piece that hangs just behind the exhaust (thinks its part of the support for the springs or something). Anyway, I just the cut it down 2 in. and it now sits perfectly.

At first I thought I wasn't getting the pipes in all the way, but when I lined it up with the OEM exhaust put together it was longer. So a little cut to fit never hurt anyone.

Hey buddy if you want a another cat back I got a spare Gibson cat back pretty much brand new, never installed. it's for a DCSB, just missing the rear tail pipe section. Buy me lunch and it's yours

That's odd my Gibson for my DCLB fits perfect, no issues with cutting anything.

I would say it's the best sounding of all the other ones and close 2nd to the TRD in quietness. I have it and gives a nice rumble at low rpms and quiet during cruising speeds. It will roar when you punch the pedal though. I bought mine for $340 shipped awhile back. Love it and it's for the TRD SC I'm getting

I think its mellow, I haven't heard very man v6 trucks with exhaust though. Cruising around town with the windows down its sits at a nice rumble. Windows up you barely hear it. Merging on the freeway it comes to life a bit, then dies once your set at your speed. I can try and get a sound clip, but I'd rather get one from in the cab with windows down compared to the set camera up and rev the engine vid.

Most V6 engines sounds horrible and even worst with a exhaust. it's not deep enough sound from a 4 banger and too high of a pitch sound to match a V8 sound. The Gibson IMO is the closest sound to a respectful exhaust sound for a V6.

funny, we had similar write ups on the exhaust and I didn't even read your before i posted.

I think the welds may have went too deep on the muffle intakes, so the pipes weren't going in all the way. Either way, its hanging nicely and not moving, just sits a little higher than the stock behind my tire.

LOL I just noticed that. It's either the Gibson or TRD exhaust for me. When I went looking a quality and quiet exhaust, these two were the top choices for me. The other brands were loud and enhance the terrible V6 sound and give a more 4 banger high pitch sound to it.
