    Hey, how are you guys?

Quick question, for a while I was sold on the OR, thought I haven't really gone off-roading yet

Heard it's a bit softer compared to the sport, but my concern stems from driving my dad's Range Rover HSE, which feels like a Land Yacht and feels like if you into a corner with some speed (not crazy speed), it'll tip

Obviously they're completely different vehicles, but like I asked, while I'm not expecting sports sedan handling, is the OR composed enough or is it floaty (and, could I throw in a sports Swaybar as well), or just stick with a sport and add lockers down the road

I'll test drive them both eventually, just figure I'd ask ahead of time.

    Thanks for taking a look,

    Rogue

Also worth considering is that all OR models have a bigger rear diff than the A/T sport. M/T sports also have the bigger diff.

I use my E brake to make all my turns. Haven’t rolled it yet. My tires are full of flat spots though.

Soft enough for me to buy a Sport. Seriously.

If I had the luxury of having a daily driver AND a truck for off roading, I’d get the OR without question. But, there’s no way it could be a daily driver for me. At least not the way I drive.

Do what I do, and just give it a little scandi flick and you'll be fine.

Honestly though, it feels fine to me. Better than a full size or "luxury pickup"

Well hey, as long as it doesn't feel wallopy, it's all good

Wonder if his Land Yacht being Diesel also affects things... Guess this weekend, I'll test it out myself.

    Thanks guys

I drive a lifted OR. It’s totally fine. I don’t baby it either. But this thread is making me real curious how fast other people drive if they thought it was bad enough to buy the Sport. I wouldn’t take a city corner at 35mph, but do people actually do that?

This is all subjective. What's tolerable for me may be unacceptable for you. You'll just have to go drive one.

Most of my driving is on highway and some on winding two lane road. It feels pretty good to me. The only time it feels a little floaty is when I’m turning and hit a big bump or a seam in the highway for a bridge or something.

I just took a canyon run in my lifted TRD OR (Bilstein/885s) that I used to bomb with my 400WHP AWD car. Speeds are average 40-50MPH with maybe 20 turns. I was very surprised at how well the TRD OR did on the turns. I could hold 10-15MPH over posted speed limit on tight turns with no feeling of loss of control and minimal body sway. Tires did good.

This truck handles pretty dang good IMO.

It’s all about feel and preference. I don’t like the feel of listing or dipping, personally. Others may not care at all.

FWIW, on my 17' DCSB OR, I got the Bilstein 6112's front and 5160's rear, no lift, it really nailed down the on-road handling. I'm also running stock height all terrain tires load E at about 35 psi cold, warming up to maybe 39 on a hot day. The ride is firmer, but the stock truck to me sort of tended to wallow around, much, much more stable now IMHO.

    All I need to know

Should also add, had a H3x when I was a Sr. in HS and use to do stuff that any dumb kid would.

If it handles a lot better than my old H3 did (got free 20's from a family friend whose H3 was going in, wanted my 18's), then we're good.

Also had an '05 Liberty (long story short, wasn't my choice but the folks) and took a left at the same light my Hummer be planted at and it felt tippy, remembering this now as I don't want that again.

So as you've implied, should be set with an OR

My '16 OR DC 6MT handles turns really nice for being a truck. Mine has a shit ton of miles on the Tail of The Dragon.

While it doesn’t handle no where near like my twin turbo 535i... It is a truck with the typical understeer when entering a corner at high speed. I’m running wheel spacers and a rear sway bar and handling is much improved over a stock OR I’m happy with it.

Love my Off Road, I wanted a truck. Not planning on doing any back road racing either, it's a truck!
