Handles like a fat chick on a scooter doing 35 on a sharp turn.

Nah im kidding, from what I heard it handles fine, its a truck so you'll get some body roll but thats easily fixed with just going a little slower on turns or upgrading the suspension which a lot do.

The ORs stock tires add to the body rolls quite a bit as well as the soft 4600 Bilsteins. I swapped to a 17” wheel and a C rated tire before my shock swap and it was a huge improvement in the corners. Then once I installed the 5100s in front and 5160s in the rear it was even that much better in the corners. I spend a lot of time driving canyon roads with a ton of switchbacks and the OR was a little sketchy on those roads before the upgrades. Now I have no qualms when diving into the same corners. YMMV

Shitty honestly. I'm already mentally building out a shock upgrade and swap to 17s. Made myself carsick a few times doing windy coastal roads.

They turn like mid sized pickup trucks. You accelerate out of turns of course when in two wheel mode. You can greatly improve the handling with a complimentary digressive shock and swaybar relocation kit. As far as stock shocks the sport is firmer and the OR is more compressive and the pro is mid I believe. I got the OR for the features and modded the suspension such that now I can corner far better than any of the stock setups.

Not horrible and better than my '12 Wrangler unlimited I traded in on it, but I don't tend to drive very aggressively on super windy roads in my OR. If I want to hit the twisties hard I jump in my wife's Miata.

Eh, it’s alright. Better than I expected it to be. Good enough for me to not bother driving the sport. I like to take corners fast. I have had some great handling cars in the past (some of them SCCA improved touring cars) and the Tacoma handles like none of them, but that’s ok. I bet if off roading isn’t your thing you could lower it, add some sticky tires, thicker sway bar, a rear sway bar and make it handle pretty good.

Personally I’m going to lift mine, and I’m getting the itch for another track car, not sure yet if I want a streetable track day car or a real race car again.

This tacoma is my first truck ive owned, and my commute is through a mountain so lots of corners. A truck is pretty fun with all the body roll and flexing lol. All my other vehicles in the past were sports cars

I love how the OR feels. Both on and off road. On the road it feels like my old wrx, but it obviously soaks up bumps better than the wrx and has some body roll. I haven’t yet felt afraid when cornering.

My offroad handles great. I heat up my tires regularly driving curvy Appalachian roads at decent speed and have a blast doing it. Sure maybe not as stiff as the sport but it also (to me) rides smoother and still is very nimble for my needs

I’ve found these complaints interesting as well. I take the banked highway ramp to my work between 55-75 depending on time of day, etc. I like the more compliant ride and don’t find it ruins cornering. I think the sport rides like an empty dump truck.

I found the Bilsteins Squishy and soft like driving on marshmallows. I didn't like it at all. After a bit of research I decided to kick the bilsteins to the curb and go with King 2.5 coil over shocks, Total Chaos UCA's and Deaver leaf packs. Absolute night and day from the Bilsteins. 20180925_124048.jpg 20180925_124103.jpg

I heard those drive like a Cadillac, but I'm too poor to know how a Cadillac feels on the road so ill assume its really good ride quality.

He is asking how a stock Off-road handles. How your $5000 aftermarket suspension rides is not relevant.

I rolled twice on my way to work today, but luckily I landed back on my tires both times so it's not bad.

I just sold my WRX, my daily driver for over a decade, and bought a new OR (manual, of course). No regrets at all. The ride quality is so, so much better -- quiet and smooth. Yeah, there's some body roll and diving under braking but the cornering grip on the stock Goodyears vastly exceeded my expectations. This truck is plenty fun to drive.

The only thing I miss is AWD: being able to gun it from a stoplight and not have any wheelspin, regardless of the weather conditions. In the rain in the Taco, or on loose surfaces, you're definitely gonna break traction.

Like a Cadillac is a good description. The ride quality is superb and cornering is tight and responsive. Worth every penny. Hell this isn't even my daily driver but with the Kings it definitely could be.
