1978 FJ40. i am juggling between an early bronco or a toyota FJ. i want one that is unmolested..no V8 conversions..or rear fenders cut on the bronco.

what do you think? i really need something 1975 and older to stay away from california smog issues..

    You don't have to be a jeep enthusiast, it's a TOYOTA! :D

I'm not too familiar with their pricing but I'm sure condition matters. What's the inside look like, what works and what doesn't, what has been replaced?

Either way, that thing looks so sweet!

I've always wanted one; but I agree, I think that's too much.

I've had an older Bronco ('67), and I've had friends with the older FJ's which were mountain goats when it came to crawling... I would much rather have the FJ over the Bronco anyday!

my brother and i are almost done with a 71 bronco. the thing is in el paso with him. he just needs to paint it.

i think a FJ would be different from what we've done.

i dated a girl back in college..i had a CJ-7 jeep and her dad had an FJ40..bone stock.

that man took me wheeling and schooled me. i didnt get stuck, but he came nowhere close. he just drove over things. he would have to wait for me. i think he wanted me to die because i was banging his little girl.

that experience..the wheeling part..(not the sex with his daughter) stuck with me for life. i want one.

I think it depends on where you are. That price seems a little high to me i think that would probably go for around 7 g's if its as nice all around as it look in that pic... which is unlikely. LC's are awesome i have a 69 fj55 and my brother had a 74 fj55 indestructible, runs and runs no matter how bad it actually runs, lol.. and goes everywhere.
