Haven’t posted in a while. Good time for an update and some current irks with the truck. I added the Yakima overhaul HD rack and an iKamper skycamp mini tent. Installed the taco lifestyle led fog light pods.

The utility of the overhaul rack is awesome. Great fit on the truck with their rail kit. Easy on and off when I need to run through a car wash too.

The tent is really nice. Can sleep my wife and I with two 55lb pitbulls comfortably. Plenty warm as well.

The first irk is how weak the bed rack & tent makes my truck feel! I get that it sits above the cab and is in the wind. But I can’t even hold 6th at 70. I was expecting to loose mpg, but having to ride in fifth on the interstate was a real surprise. I’d love to find away to solve this.

Second irk is the stock low beams. After installing the taco lifestyle led pod fogs, I basically can’t even tell if my low beams are on or off. The new fogs are so bright that I roll around town with them off at night to keep from blinding people. All of this to say, my stock low beams are about as bright as a birthday candle. Does anyone have recommendations for plug and play low beam bulbs that are brighter and similar temperature to a standard light bar?

Third and final irk is my key fob remote start stopped working. I’ve done enough research to realize I’m not the only one. But I haven’t found any proven solutions. I bought it in oct, a 2023 trd or 2wd with 15k miles. I was blessed with a month of remote starts from the fob before it stopped working all together. Never had the app, not looking to get it. Never had a subscription either. I took it to the Toyota dealership and they spent a full day trying to figure it out with no avail.

All around, the truck is amazing. I just wrapped up the LA duck season. Drove a couple hundred miles off road and didn’t get stuck until the blizzard hit. If I could work out these three quirks, I wouldn’t have a single complaint!

@dryheat the only experience I have with tuning was making speed runs sitting in the back seat of my buddy’s mustang while a guy with a ponytail and a laptop talked about a bunch of stuff I didn’t understand. Seems a little intimidating.

are there any programmers that could solve my issues?
