It combines them all into a few smaller knobs to the left of the screen....

Reading the description I get red flags. Between the grammatical errors and the outdated version of Android they are saying its running, Im not sure I would give this company a dollar of my money. The price seems cheap, when comparing it to other head units for these trucks. Its huge and basically you have to move stuff around to get it to work, which means buying additional plastic parts, which are not going to be OEM or better quality. Seems like an over promised idea that never came to market, or a scam.

They have grammatical errors because its made in china.
All android headunits run a few generations older of android than what the current versions are. Thats just how they are.
The moving around of stuff and buying additional plastic parts is not true though, it replaces all that with its own. You buy the unit and install it, there is nothing you need to modify or buy extra of.

Waiting a year for them to work out the bugs, then pulling the trigger on it.

These units fucking suck plain and simple for the price. You’d be better off mounting a tablet in front of a better setup. The only thing nice to say about them is at least the one I had, had quality sound with the factory speakers and mild upgrades.

I had a circa 2019-2020 version from Phoenix in my GX470 at the time. It was one of the only android units that fit the vehicle until some of the other no-names came out. Removing physical OEM buttons and trading them for on screen zero-haptic feedback controls is a great mistake. Quite honestly it’s something no automaker should even be allowed to do from factory when there are laws on the books in states banning texting or cell phone operation while driving.

Phoenix is just a bulk reseller as are most of the other ones out there selling these units. Some advertise that theirs come with extra frills but it’s just marketing, most of these units come with locked down features that a simple firmware upgrade can open up.

There was a Russian dude operating out of Facebook offering custom firmware. I had it on my unit but after a while the whole thing was just sketch and I upgraded to a totally different setup.

    My 2cents.
