Nope, the best solution is to be from Wisconsin. My whole state would be on lockdown if the typical description of alcoholic was used. You've got to be a pretty big screw up to be "that drunk guy" around here.

But the way I see it, it's not a huge problem here because it's not a huge taboo. When you are brought up with it you don't feel the need to show off with it. We can legally go to the bars with a guardian when we are underage, and I mean any age, and they can serve you. My friends and family drink, we drink a lot. No your limits and don't lose your head about it.

I've never been a drinker, been shitfaced only once, and that was when I was in. My father was an alcoholic, saw more than enough of it in my younger years to last me a lifetime. I'm in college, I don't drink. :)

I've been out of college for a decade now, and I am just beginning to slow it down (mostly because getting up at 5:30 everyday BLOWS with a hangover).

The question is not legitimate because you were trained to cope with fun times and "things" over the years. There for you are employable on more things than your degree. There is nothing wrong with partaking in the sauce daily.

Now do not put this on your resume but you have learned to be a functioning alcoholic.
    Congrads Sir! :drunk:

I drank shit loads for 10 years after College. It wasnt until I decided to stop eating, so I could drink more beer, that I thought I might have a problem....

What will stop? Asking the question? Is kanadia that bad?

Actually, at 30, if you keep drinking beer college style, you will look down and go "shit, I think I'm pregnant."

At 40, you just realize, fuck, I can't do this anymore.

If you are paying attention and haven't already drowned to death in your own vomit or killed an innocent family in a car accident, your slowing metabolism will give you clues.

If you are really wondering if you have an issue, try designating off days. You know you are going to be especailly social on weekends, so just discipline yourself to not drink M-Th. If you can't do that, you have issues.

And for fuck sake, OZ, can you please learn how to operate punctuation? Like this. Not like this .

I am an alcoholic but been sober for six years. Sound like someone confronted you about your drinking. If so that should be an indication that you might have a problem. Do you think you could drinking right now? If the idea of not drinking for say a year bothers you, might want to ask yourself why.
