I have no idea how to search this question, so don't know if anybody has asked/answered this before.

Let's say I have a full tank of gas, how long will it run if I'm using the truck as a source of electricity?

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
yeah, not to be funny, but the 400w inverter won't drain the battery much more than idling. So def more than a day when you run out of gas.

no more than a 6 pack fridge. you're better off with a big cooler and ice. besides, icy water will keep the beer colder than a small fridge.

400w at idle, but If your driving it, you can only use the 100w which definatly will not run a fridge. Ice in a cooler!

OP if you want to go that route and plan to get an inverter that works there is a much better way! Two batteries, power block, and some other goodies you can flip flop batteries with maybe one hour of charge at a time. Your going to need some deep cycles though.

here's a basic chart for power requirements for inverters. I have been looking to buy one of these for myself and this gave me a good idea of what wattage to get. I think a fridge would be too much for 400watts

Got this from some other post on here too -- http://www.whistlergroup.com/faq-inverters-answers.asp

Just buy an ARB fridge. Hell they work off the accessory outlets anyways. So you can keep the fridge in the cab for quicker access. :D

Mobile power tools baby. Also if you buy the tent that fits the bed you have built in lights and an alarm clock. :p
