How long did it take for your Softopper to ship?

Interesting. Mine did say 3-5 weeks but I feel like I do remember around the time frame you’re talking, when I was still kicking the idea around of ordering one, it did not say back ordered.

 

You should see their recent reviews on their website. Looks like Softopper is on the verge of collapse…..what cracks me up is they post stuff all the time on IG. Why not focus on getting the product to the customer instead of social media. Tons of people are burning them on their website, BBB and with CC companies.

I can’t say I blame them. Their communication sucks. Not once to this day have I been told my item is on back order.

 

This entire thread makes me wanna buy a bestop instead of a softopper lol. Anyone have any experience with the bestop?

 

Same company, same shitty CS. The Softopper is better in terms of fit and functionality, the Bestop Supertopper 2 barely fits the bed, looks like a box and is a pain in the ass to open/close.

 

Oh boy. Okay.

 

My rear window came with a cut in it, emailed them and called them and have gotten shit.

 

Slowly losing hope here, I wanted to have it by Halloween but I’m having doubts as my calls and emails continue to go unanswered.

do you need to call them to cancel an order or can that be done via website? I don’t see it but maybe I’m blind.

 

they are having issues for sure. product is solid so i’m okay waiting even though it’s already three weeks later than their original shipping estimate.

annoyed but i’ll give them more time.

 

Hang in there. It looks like they are just starting to catch up. My order from July 18th was delivered on September 27th.

 

I called a total of three times over 8 weeks and got a person on the line all three times. I called at about 9:30am each time. They were all apologetic and were very nice. I was nice to them and understood the supply problems all companies are having and didn’t go all “Kevin” on them.

 

I ended up reaching out to best top since they own Softopper. Gave them my order info and what do you know I got a shipping notification today.

If you can’t get a hold of anyone go to the top of the chain and hit up best top

 

Just want to come on here again and thank bestop for getting my Softopper order shipped and my partial refund…..day and night difference in customer service.

 

pretty sure my softopper just shipped! (not expecting anything else from colorado at the moment)

should be here by sunday.

 

For giggles I tried calling Softopper; no answer. Then Bestop; one ring. She did not sound amused (nothing I said, just like "I'm tired of this type tone") and said she would pass my info to them for contact.

 

I used IG to make contact with bestop. I’m sure they aren’t thrilled to be doing Softopper’s work during this time.

 

Something must’ve changed, my experience with Bestop’s CS was exactly that of Softopper but that was probably about a month ago now.

 

maybe the CS rep for bestop got fired and picked up by Softopper?

 

Well ordered Aug14th and finally just got a tracking update it has been picked up from FedEx and in route. Woohoo.

 

Ordered the 17th. Hopefully I’m right behind you!
