Ask me in 4-3/4 years and I will tell you it took 5.

I don't mind though - the Taco holds its value. Part of the reason I went with this truck and not a new Mustang. Plus, with buying new and the amount I drive it will have about 60K on the odo when I pay it off so it should have plenty of life left for payment-free years. I keep my cars a long time.

Haven't paid mine off yet, but I expect it to be paid in full within 3 years of purchasing. Not to bad considering up here in canada a fully loaded 4 door TRD sport goes for 40k+

    back to bone stock.
i flew to LA with a brown bag of cash.. my deal with my wife.."no truck payments!"..only way to pull that off, was to buy a slightly used one. even with the plane ticket for two, my truck was a steal!

two payments..$500 paypal to hold it sight unseen, and the rest when i drove it, and had a mechanic friend give it a quick look..i paid him the rest from the paper bag.

drove it home on bald tires to bay area, sleep. woke up bought new tires.

    done.

About an hour and a half................just long enough for the dealer to push the paper around.

What about the other 90 seconds explaining to the finance guy that you weren't getting a loan from your bank and the dealer really couldn't make you a better deal on the loan? :D

Yeah, I love that concept nowadays...No we don't want you to just pay for the whole thing but we'll give a loan for 500 less than the cash price but ends up costing 2 times as much due to interest. Fuck that, what happened to money talks, bullshit walks? (that wasn't a question requiring any answer so please do not attempt to)
