It’s definitely wild. Rarity to get so many manuals at once too. I lucked out with finding a manual too, and sounds like the 22s are getting a slight delay. So says the swap manager I spoke with two days ago. Shall see! Just glad I got mine coming, and it’s nearly finished out at the port. Long journey.

Yesterday my previous dealer refunded my deposit to me… waste of 3+ months. Had appointment set with another local dealer today, they had a 21 trd OR MT DC in army green in the pipeline to be built on 9/1. Threw a deposit down on that one so at least I have a VIN and build date now, however it looks like I’m just going to have to settle for an OR rather than a sport. Sadly going to have to say goodbye to color matched fender flares and a hood scoop . Just tired of waiting at this point.

Call Peterson Toyota in Boise, ID. They had a sport MT on allocation. I think it’s an access cab in black. Also, Jacobe at Alderman’s Toyota in VT I believe had a crew cab MT, but that one is OR. If interested.

Is it typical for a Toyota dealership to have zero information about when a truck is coming? I put down a deposit in June and have been getting “it’ll be here any day now” response for weeks. I also went to Jeep and ordered a rubicon and I had a vin the next day.

Deposit on April 23rd. Allocated June 26th and it arrived today. Wasn’t expecting it because the temp vin stopped working Monday and production was pushed to Aug 19th but it’s here and glad I got it. 2021 LR Pro.

I heard some distributors are very good informing dealers , some are not. But any case they can fool you only 2-3 weeks. as delivery time is 12-15 days. please note that they are still delivering June orders. last day to order June was June 12th. if you deposit after June 12, it will go to July order. I think you need to wait till sep 15th and decide. They just start delivering July orders. Find vin numbers of tacomas in your dealers lot and search here https://www.toyota.com/owners/my-vehicle/vehicle-specification you will see order months.

Hi there, new member here from Alberta, Canada. Picked up my 2021 TRD Sport DCSB with manual transmission in wind chill pearl on Aug 16. Initially visited the dealer mid June and put $1000 down for them to secure me the vehicle. They gave me $1000 off MSRP

Currently I drive an 07 Ford ranger 2wd ext cab. As far as the new truck goes, to me it’s mainly appearance of the sport that I like over the OR. I know it has slightly different suspension and different wheels. But I’m reality all I’m going to lose out on is the looks of a non functional hood scoop( which I really do like) and painted fender flares that will most likely be scratched and dinged in parking lots because most people don’t have respect for other people’s stuff.

Put a deposit on December 26th of last year for a trd off-road 6MT and got a call at beginning of March saying they had just received it and to go pick it up.

I have the OR, but today I saw my truck in the Sport version. It looked really good. I like both but in the end I picked the OR. Here’s mine last December when I brought it home.

What dealership did you go through? I went and placed one through mark miller. Ended up just purchasing a 2020 yesterday with 12k miles. Figured worst case scenario I’ll keep my deposit in and when it does come in I can trade up.

Could someone explain the ‘factory ordering’ process with Toyota and what that is/versus allocation..?

Some dealers have explained flat out there is no ‘ordering’ with Toyota.
