How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

what's going on at the ports?! I'm waiting for an OR DCSB MT... temp vin with 32 stopped working on the 19th and dealer said it was built with a schedule shipping date between the 9th and the 26th dealer is in Philly area

 

Covid staffing, for one. Ports are under tremendous pressure right now with vessel traffic, and storage. Some containers are lost under a mountain of other containers, and delayed by many months. Lost in the system for now. It’s a logistical nightmare, and a shortage of truck drivers doesn’t make it easy to deliver.

 

I got mine this past Saturday the 21st and had an original build date of 8/9 then on dealer daily it showed production to start 8/19 but I picked it up last Saturday and it was built in Texas. Not really sure how all that works but my assumption is they are building and shipping closest to each port but I may be wrong. Mine was built in Texas and I am here in Texas so GST. That would make sense logistically but this day and age nothing makes sense anymore.

 

This is a fact! Is yours a pro?

 

@smseagren & @marlow_tacoma my OR was built a couple weeks ago in San Antonio (first digit of temp & actual VIN will tell you the origin).

 

Let me guess, you still had to pay full price for shipping/handling/processing

 

At the going rate only paying msrp is a gift. The mark-ups are insane.

My Pro that is coming in early this week was built late July and in Texas.

 

Oh interesting, and you live in Canada. I wonder if there is any method to their madness. I'm going to keep tabs on you to see if there are any noticeable difference between our trucks. What color? Excuse me, colour

 

That comes with every vehicle and is included in MSRP. I didn’t pay anything on top, no dealer add-ons, no nitrogen bs or anything. It even came with window tint which they say isn’t suppose to come with it. Apparently that was part of their $1400 paint protection sealer, window tint, nitrogen and all that other stuff. I told them not needed and not wanted I was going to get it done myself. I was pretty clear on everything before going to the dealership.

I also used the inventory spreadsheet thread to see if it was on there yet and Friday I checked it and it was on the list and I was thinking maybe another week for shipping but the next day it was there for me to pick up. Just need to know your dealer number.

 

Interesting! I'm being lazy here...how do I go about finding the dealer number? Is the thread actually titled "inventory spreadsheet"?

Well mine was already allocated to the dealership without anyone claiming it. I was a lucky one. I'm getting the Lunar Rock. I'm getting a few dealer installed options but I know the Canadian version comes with mud flaps. Wasn't sure on them at first but think I will keep them.

 

I just heard from my sales guy. It looks like the new production date is 9/3. Great news for me. Hopefully that’s where it ends up staying.

 

Ordered a TRD Off-road (Premium package, adv tech, LED headlights) 5/5. Picked it up yesterday. My window sticker shows final assembly being San Antonio.
