Mine got pushed back to a build date of yesterday. I haven't contacted my dealer yet but last I spoke to him. He said it should be here a week after that. After reading all your stories though, I'm thinking he may be BS'ing me.

Ya, I just realize that you can't trust everything they say. My salesman said truck should be here early october, and then yesterday they moved it to early november. I kept asking information such as Temp VIN, Accessories, and package to the truck, and they just ignore my messages or say some dumb excuses.

Start raising some hell with them ! They work for you ! Sometimes they're just to lazy to look into it, so it's easier to brush you off. They don't understand what it feels like waiting with very little information. My salesman was off today so tomorrow I'm going to have him call me instead of texting. That way I can hear his voice when I ask the tough questions lol
    I wish you luck !

    From my salesman today:
    “John:

Your truck is scheduled to hit the ground here between 9/28 and 10/4. I will be in touch!”

Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy!!

She's here! Basic SR5, the only factory options we got were the LED lights. Timeline:

8/26: chose from dealership allotment and got a temp VIN, projected delivery date 9/23.

9/2: sales rep told us the projected date was now 10/12 but that the truck already had its permanent VIN so he thought it would be sooner. We were never given the permanent VIN, I tracked it down on my own.

9/4: sales rep denied ever saying the truck had its permanent VIN. Around this time the truck also disappeared from Toyota's inventory page. Much WTF and anxiety.

9/16: sales rep left a voicemail the truck should be here "the middle of next week." VIN started showing a date of first use of 9/15. More WTF and anxiety.

9/21: got a welcome to the family email from Toyota and a confirmation from Sirius, but nothing from the sales rep. ?

9/22 morning: got a purchase experience survey from Toyota. Still nothing from the sales rep. ????

9/22 afternoon: sales rep finally called and confirmed the truck was ready, and now she's ours and we're putting her to work already.

Well, I finally picked my truck up yesterday. My dealership decided that my deal from 5 months ago was not going to make them enough money so they decided to make what should have been a good day for me a total nightmare. I was met at the door by my salesman who proceeded to tell me I was putting too much money down and that they needed me to finance more so that they could get a better kick back from the bank. Then the finance guy tells me my interest rate ( I have excellent credit) and it was much higher than what I could get through TFS. I asked him why they were making this so hard and his reply was "The sales manager controls the deal and we can get a lot more money for your truck by selling it to someone else"! I was surprised and instantly PO'ed, to say the least. I ended up getting my truck with my down payment and the interest rate I wanted with help from the dealerships "Toyota customer satisfaction" representative. The dealers name rhymes with "manly" in Akron, OH. Obviously, I DO NOT recommend these a holes. If anyone knows a way I can contact Toyota about this to try to get some satisfaction, please let me know.

Started this in June, but didn’t find my truck until 7/30 (coincidentally, my birthday). Built 8/19; arrived two days ago. upload_2021-9-25_17-3-51.jpgWas good kick’n it with y’all for awhile - good luck to you and the arduous waiting game!

Of importance, that spreadsheet that’s floating around here was never accurate for my dealership. In fact, my truck never made it on there. Toyota’s inventory also is not accurate. My truck showed up on their website nearly two weeks before it was built and was only up for two days. My dealership website still says that my truck is in transit. That being said, find a healthy way to cope with your impatience beyond neurotically checking the aforementioned as I did. Waste of time.
