How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

Put my deposit down on January 5th for a Lunar Rock with M/T. It finished production at the new Mexico plant on 2/10, arrived at the dealership last Thursday (3/25).

Put a deposit on 10/03/2020 on a TRD Pro LR with M/T, my dealership still not giving me any delivery dates. They saying delays due to COVID... Feel like cancelling and starting over with a 2022...

 

Not sure about the Tacoma's, but we put a factory order in for a 2021 4Runner TRD PRO in Lunar Rock September 14, 2020. Took Delivery January 21, 2021.... So we had quite a wait.... it sat in the the port for 22 days in Long Beach because they had to put it on a train to Phoenix. 4 Month wait time was a bummer but we got exactly what we wanted, with and without all the stuff we did and dint want. If you have the patience it's worth it.

 

Put my order in 2/3/21 picked it up 3/17/21.

 

ordered january 1st finally picked up 3/28
i ended up just talking to the General Sales Manager told him what i wanted and he said he would put my order in i cchecked in with him pretty much weekly until we got a build date of 2/15 with no ETA. and didn’t get an ETA until literally 4 days before it arrived.
My order was a TRD OR 6 Speed advanced tech,led headlights,led fogs,bed mat, bed lights and tonneau cover, they added the all weather mats and door sill protectors.

so roughly 3 full months from order to pickup got it out the door at 40k on the nose

Wow, I'm sorry to hear this...more and more I'm realizing how lucky I am to have actually gotten mine.

 

Thanks! I had started the process mid-November at the Toyota dealership in my Wife's home town in Virginia. Mainly because my Father-In-Law is good friends with the owner...thought that might help. They were unable to find one then they were unsuccessful with their request to get one from the factory.

The sales guy was great and super honest which I'll always appreciate. He explained that I could wait and continue to request one through them but he advised that I look elsewhere. He then pulled up in the database which dealerships within a 500 mile radius of me had been awarded a manual Lunar Rock. There were only two. One in Clarksville, TN and one in Delaware, OH. I called Clarksville first, but that one was already spoken for. I called Delaware next and they just so happened to order one without anyone requesting it...so I put down the deposit over the phone that day.

With all that being said, I just assumed they had placed the order beginning of January...but I'm not certain. I need to check with them and see what the order date was.

 

What area are you in- if you don’t mind me asking? We ordered the same truck literally days apart, our build and delivery windows were similar too... Mine just hasn’t been delivered yet. The dealership has reported my truck: “lost in transit”. Could be here later or today, maybe next month...

 

I live in Athens, GA but I guess that doesn't matter here...went through a dealership in Delaware, OH.

DUUUUUDE, when my sales guy sent me a pic of it arriving on the trailer my heart totally stopped for a second when I saw the Off Road stickers!

 

Was slated for the 5th, came in yesterday, take delivery today!

 

Congrats! My April 12th build date moved to April 17th. Not terrible. Hopefully that holds. For what that is worth to others who are waiting. Mexico plant.
