depends a bit where you are, where built, maybe even timing of boat filling up - I've seen a range 2ish to 8 weeks from build dates from following this thread. Mine built 5/5 (in Guanajuato) hit denver area dealer today, pciking up tomorrow, so about 5 weeks build to delivery for me - it seemed longer :) - build date slippage may be the real issue though

I ordered in March so it can't be worse. Someone mentioned in this thread there will be no cement in 2022? So if that's the case the wait feels better. Cement Sport DCSB MT...

My trd pro was built yesterday and the dealer said the estimated ship was showing to be June 23rd to the dealer. They are waiting to confirm the new VIN number until it goes into freight status. Seems like really good turn around if it does end up meeting that ship time.

Are they all built in Mexico? I haven't seen anyone say anything else.

I'm located in Indiana, and yes it was built in Mexico. Not all trucks were built in Mexico until recently, 2021 was a transition period from the Texas plant to the Mexico plant.

And to clarify my above post, it will ARRIVE June 23rd, not ship out June 23rd.

You can remove them but you have to be careful, Toyota edge guards are made of metal and they can easily scratch the paint when they spring out.

I was at the dealer today for a sticker. I was waiting outside and started to look at what was on the lot. Zero new Tacomas, Tundras, 4Runners. 11 used trucks, 9 Tacomas, 1 Tundra, and 1 Chevy. Then I noticed something odd. All of the vehicles were on the edges of the lot facing the street and the driveway up to the store. The center of the lot was empty.

Obviously they arranged their stock so that from the street the lot looks full, but they clearly are low on inventory.

This isn't a small dealership, it's well established and usually has a lot full of everything. So, I don't think it's just this dealer.

@HisDad same up here in Maine. The local Ford dealer has moved all their police vehicles to the front and the used car dealer that rarely has 10 vehicles has more Ford trucks than the dealer has (new or used).

Local Toyota dealer has the front lined with Tacomas but they're all used. No new trucks or large SUVs. Last I looked 15 total new cars & small SUVs & one supra

Ordered 2/18 and took delivery on 5/28. Dealer kept me informed of actual build date. Scheduled build date changed 3 times which dealer said was typical.

My salesman texted me this past Saturday and said the delivery date was pushed back one week. Was supposed to be here this week and will be here next week. He said it's in transit and said something about a delay because of an Interstate (I-40) bridge being out in Memphis but I don't see how that would delay it much. Maybe a 3hour detour at most. No biggie. My Place of Manufacture was in Baja California, Mexico, not the other one. There's two plants building them excluding Texas? I feel like I'm waiting on another grandbaby to be born...

Not bad actually. Were you able to talk them out of the delivery, processing, and handeling fee?

Guess you could look at it that way, they were 6%+ lower than MSRP and beat every other dealer by 1K or more. Had to get a ride 2 hours away to pick up but fun drive back :)

At least I know it can be done. I looked up tacoma in auto trader and found a local dealer thats letting go of tacomas for 1g less then msrp so im going to start there and hope they will work with me on a factory build. Now it comes down to deciding if i’m going to do sport or off road.

Sport has the hood and painted fender flares while the off road doesnt but doesnt have the bottom lip on front bumper and has locking diff… im at a loss here

@doylee4693 well if you're at a loss a locking diff is not a necessity so it comes down to personal preference on styling!

I understand it! I have a '17 SR5 and prefer the look of the matching flares, not opposed to the chin deflector and I like the sport wheels over the OR's. However I am not a fan of the non functional scoop. Might have had some luck swapping hoods with someone but decided to go with an OR.

Mine was built in Baja on 5/31. I got word today that it's due to the dealer (Toyota of Tacoma) between 6/21 and 6/28.
