How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

Salesman confirmed with me earlier today. My truck arrives tonight. Already set an appointment with my boy at 10 AM.

Man I’ve waited so long for this moment. Fell in love with the 3rd Gen the moment it was revealed. I was in the 8th grade and couldn’t even drive yet.

 

Just got the call! The dreaded one, not the good one. Truck was originally due 21-28. Then bumped forward to 18-21. Call this morning.....21-24. Supposed to leave for vacation the morning of the 24th with the truck pulling a bass boat. Not if I can't break it in a little first. I'd rather delay vacation a day than not take my new truck. Put out some good vibes TW Nation!

Have a deposit on a cement sport build date 6/29, shipping will be to MA. Here's hoping it gets here by the end of next month.

 

Congrats! My Cement Sport was built on 5/29. They’re saying it will be here 7/7. I’m in MA as well.

 

Nice! At least you got your VIN and stuff now right? You can drool looking at the spec sheet. Yea, dude at the dealership said end of July / beginning of Aug. You notice all the dealerships around here posting tons of tacomas on their website that are all spoken for? I feel like that's pretty shady, but I went there and put a deposit on one anyway lol. You pay MSRP?

 

Started my search and dealer discussions in February this year. Got tired of the GST dealers and looked further out. Went with the best offer and finally requested to "order" March 24th with the understanding the allocation request would happen at the end of the month. I was told I would have to pay a deposit but they didn't ever take one. April 13th I was told my truck with in their pipeline. They sent me the temporary VIN and estimated build date of 05/24/21 in Baja. I asked for an update on 05/18. The build date was pushed to 05/28 and the estimated arrival to the dealer 06/18. The morning of the 28th the temporary VIN stopped working and the dealer updated the delivery window to 06/07 - 06/14 and sent me the permanent VIN. I got a call on 06/11 that it had arrived and was ready to pick up. I bought out of state and unfortunately wasn't able to go get it between work and Southwest flight delays until last night. Yes, got the permanent VIN. I’m hoping it being on the website means it might get here a bit early, or at least on time.

 

I have an allocation for a Black TRDOR 4x4 premium / advanced, I'm sure they will ask msrp as we have not discussed prices. Thinking on waiting for a 2022 TRD pro since its not much more price wise. What do ya'll think? ETA was first week of July.

 

I found a dealer with a TRD Pro allocation back in May and gave a deposit. They agreed to remove the Southeast Toyota port installed crap since the truck hadnt been built. Temp Vin changed at the end of May and the truck had an ETA of June 30. Date changed a couple of times and at at last check it was showed a June 22 arrival. As of Friday afternoon the truck is not listed on SETs website and dealer is clueless as to the ETA, their reply is any day now when I ask. Im guessing since it is not getting SET port accessories that is why it has been pulled from the site?
I find it odd the dealer cant the track delivery date within a day or two, anyone else have a similar experience?

 

Does SET have their own website to track when a truck gets to port? I'm wondering if any other region does that.

 

SETs site doesnt show the date of arrival to the port, just an estimated date of delivery to the dealer.
