Army Green is not a Pro color. Your agreement is void.

I went into one of my local dealerships mid July to test the seating position with the premium package and power seat. Finally there was one local enough for me to test out. I fit! It was 2021 Off Road with the Premium package and in white. I'm just not a lover of white.

My sales rep followed up with me a couple of days later telling me they had 2021 TRD Pro in Lunar Rock allocated to them for the end of July and asked if I'd be interested. I was fully prepared to wait for the 2022's and was going to go for an Off Road only but after asking him the price and confirming there was no markup in pricing (just MSRP) and the 2021 financing rates, I decided to go for it. He did play me as the truck wasn't actually scheduled until the end of August but I won't hold that against him. I knew that before signing as I had asked to see the actual printout showing it was coming. I gave him the wink when I pointed out the actual delivery date.

Signed for it early August, delivery date is set for August 24th. I have seen the dealer page showing the delivery and they tagged the vehicle with my name. I'm not bothering them about any updates but I do look over my shoulder when passing the dealer's lot.

When I order the truck, I went through the Toyota site "Build a Car", Army Green was an option for the pro. I submit the results to one of the sales managers and did the deposit process. What you said does alarm me, still waiting on a reply from the locate manager. Thanks for following up.

Edit: I went back to check on my email, Army Green was not available on Build a Car. You're right, my mistake. I asked the Internal Manager if Army Green for the pro was available at that time and she said yes.
    Dang, I'm screwed.

Which is more important to you? The Pro trim or the color?

A manual Pro trim is more important. Army Green was just a preferred color, any would due.

If I were you, I would be on the phone with your dealer. Getting a 2021 manual Pro in any color is going to be a challenge right now. You are likely waiting on a 2022 at this point.

Exactly. Very very very rare for one to find one and it’s usually just a random guy on the lot who hasn’t been waiting and waiting on one that walked into that dealership that day and for whatever reason someone backed out of the allocation they placed a deposit for and said hey this just came available.

I have a white, 2021 MT Pro coming at the end of this month, which was a process I started months ago. The inventory manager did some trade with a dealership in Texas (I'm in Oregon). Essentially, he originally said I'd be first in line for a 2022, which was followed by, a few days later, "So, they had a hiccup with production and likely won't even have 22s until mid-to-late October, if even that soon. I found a '21 in Texas if you're still interested."

The rundown…. Started email carpet bombing dealerships in 3 states 6months ago for a 21 OR DCSB in graphite, cement or army green, nothing! Emailed a few more on July 20th and got a hit July 21st for an allocation that was scheduled to be built 8/2. Call was from the dealers internet sales guy. Got the spec sheet with vin and put down a deposit at 10am and he said I’d be getting a call in a few hours to follow up. No call. No cleared deposit via my bank.
So I called at the end of the day and was told all is ready to go. Deposit cleared the next day and I was emailed by the sales manager to confirm.

A few days later I was emailed by the “salesman” who’s handling the deal from the internet salesman. He asked for some info, which I sent and asked a few questions of my own. This is where it’s gone cold. He never responded to my questions, and hasn’t answered subsequent emails. The dealer is an hr away and I was headed by it on my way to camp so I decided to stop. Met another salesman who said he’d seen my salesman out back and he’d give him a call. The one who met me at the door returned and said that it was actually my salesman’s day off and that he wanted me to know the truck isn’t here yet…. No sh*t.

To say I’m a little frustrated with the lack of communication is an understatement. I’m not hounding and I’m not trying to negotiate a deal. I guess I just want a little customer service for a $40k+ purchase. Fingers are crossed I’m not getting scammed like some others have

Reak, I won't quote your whole post but that is almost exactly what happened to me at my first go with trying to get the truck I want.
Dealer was in Indianapolis about 2 hrs from me. He told me there was one being built and that he would more than likely be able to get his hands on it.
I put down the deposit and all was good, just a waiting game.
Then I came across the dealer im dealing with now that is a friend of the sales manager. This guy told me that more than likely it was BS. No way any dealer is giving up an allocation for a Tacoma for any trades, which is what the indy dealer was trying to do.
A week later I got a call from the indy dealer that the deal fell thru and they couldn't get the allocation.
So I got my money back and had the local dealer order what I wanted.
I should see it in a couple weeks.
Hopefully they aren't screwing you around, but dealers will tell you anything to get you in the door.

I'm trying to get in touch with the Internal Manager, still couldn't get a hold of her. At this point, it's either get my deposit or order a 2022. Communication hasn't been all that great, will definitely drop by this weekend to straighten it up.

I have been waiting on a VSPP Taco since June. You are fortunate to find a dealership that was willing to take the VSPP form on a Tacoma. No dealer in GA would do it. Corolla, yes, but no Taco. Really wanted to snap the last US year of Land Cruiser, but it is not on the program this year.
I had to go out of state to get a Tacoma. I have a rare combo of colors and options, so it will, most likely, be a 2022 model. Which I am OK with.

I still have not heard from my dealer, however… on their website for their inventory it says they have ALMOST my exact build, it’s an AC not a DC. I don’t know what to think. There can’t be that many 21 trd sports with a premium package and a manual trans in army green, I’m worried they may have ordered me the wrong truck. But we’ll see I guess.

Take the vin listed on the dealer's inventory and run it on Toyotas VIN thing.

It's very possible and likely the dealer screwed up the listing on their website.
